John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing has an interesting discussion on what makes an entrepreneur using cooking and ADHD to make his point. His conclusion:
Entrepreneurs don’t learn by thinking, they learn by doing.
I agree. And this is consistent with a previous post I wrote for Counsel Protect, LLP, my law firm, which drew extensively from Leonard Schlesinger’s book, Action Trumps Everything in which he describes the actions of an entrepreneur:
They take a small (smart) step forward.
They pause to see what they learned.
Then they incorporate what they learned into what they do next.
It’s not brain surgery. It’s learning as you go.
